The Policy and Research Committee (PRC) has two co-chairs, an ODSP recipient co-chair and an agency co-chair which is usually someone from a supportive agency or non-profit organization. The agency co-chair position for the PRC is currently vacant.

The PRC typically meets monthly for two hours over Zoom. During meetings, we discuss ongoing social policy concerns with ODSP and other programs, issues that people with disabilities are dealing with such as accessible housing, and other related topics.

Committee meetings are open to members of the Coalition. The Coalition is mostly made up of ODSP recipients but also includes social policy experts, supportive agencies, students, and other trusted allies. If you would like to join the PRC Committee, please email us. It may be worth noting that there is considerable ‘cross-pollination’ between our two active committees.

Budget Submissions

ODSP AC typically submits a provincial pre-budget submission whenever the provincial government opens the consultation period. Our list of demands/recommendations continues to evolve with each submission and we typically discuss the content of the submission at the PRC meeting ahead of submission.
